Used Wilco Near Infrared ("NIR") Spectrum Analyzer, model WILCOMAT W NIR, with infeed and exit conveyor, 480 volt, serial# 17.0024, built 2019. The WILCOMAT W NIR is process analytical technology ("PAT") that is specifically designed for the spectrum analysis of lyophilizates ("lyo cake") in vials. Test samples arrived from an upstream machine. Test samples that are not in an upright position are rejected. Depending upon NIR model, the NIR system can detect samples with the wrong identity and/or with excessive moisture levels. Samples that pass are moved to a conveyor for the next process step. Samples that do not meet the specification are rejected. Samples that could not be tested are sent to an “uninspected” tray. (Section 5.2 of the WILCOMAT W NIR User Manual).
